Site Manager

 

Main purposes of job:

  • To manage onsite teams of varying trades and skills to ensure a professional and clean handover, often across multiple sites and multiple deadlines

  • To be the onsite point of contact to clients as a client-facing representative of the company

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all build and finishing works are completed to a high standard, on time and on budget

  • Ensure you abide by and carry out recommended SFA site protocol

  • Complete CPP / RAMS / COSHH assessments for projects you are responsible for

  • Deliver RAMS briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions

  • Maintain safe working practices on-site and ensure staff adhere to health & safety regulations

  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients

  • Ensure site materials are ordered in accurate quantities and at competitive rates

  • Arrange site plant and waste requirements

  • Prepare or arrange for the preparation of tools, equipment and kit for site work

  • Manage, maintain and replenish site consumables and equipment

  • Evaluate and make improvements to site operations

Essential:

  • Previous construction / fabrication experience, preferably management

Requirement:

  • Weekend work and overtime are expected from time to time to ensure a projects completion

What we are looking for

  • Good knowledge and understanding of various construction and finishing methods

  • A pro-active, organised and reliable person with an ability to inspire teams and drive projects forward

  • Good time-keeping and ability to meet deadlines

  • Professional, confident and clear communicator

  • Ideally someone with significant experience in gallery and museum settings

  • A clean driving licence, but not essential

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Usual place of work: Various galleries and museums in and around London. Reporting back to our workshop in Haringey when required.

Salary: In the region of £44,000 - £52,000 per year plus overtime and benefits (dependant on experience)
